Dan is available for private functions, wedding ceremonies and receptions, anniversary parties, fundraising events, retirement parties- just about any celebration where music would be welcome.
He is comfortable solo, but is happy to put together larger ensembles. At the Py, he consistently performs as a duo with one of many bassists with whom he loves to play. He can add a percussionist for a trio, or saxophone, guitar, voice...whatever your occasion requires.
Dan is primarily known as a jazz pianist, but is also a very gifted classical pianist. His extensive classical training has brought a passionate color, depth, sensitivity, and beauty to the works of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, and also those of the standard jazz composers. Original compositions and arrangements have also been explored by this unique musician, whose personality shines through his playing.
His schedule at the Py allows much flexibility, but he appreciates at least a month's notice to arrange a private function. It is also helpful for Dan to know if there is a piano at the site and how many musicians he will need to hire for the event.
